We create luxury, insulated garden rooms for year-round comfort and use. Our prefabricated garden rooms are double glazed and heated, just like a bricks-and-mortar extension, with features like security alarms, plumbing, electricity and multi-media. Yet unlike a brick extension, there is minimal upheaval and planning permission is not required.
Design and Installation
All our garden rooms are made using advanced SIPS (Structural Insulated panels) technology, first used in the 1930's in America becoming popular worldwide from the 1960's on. Our garden room construction consists of SIPS panels which are made up of two OSB sheets an insulated middle section, with this 'sandwich' being set within a wooden frame. Each SIPS panel is fixed to the other using a high strength polyurethane glue, creating a complete, highly rigid structure. Thanks to their high insulation level, structural integrity, simplicity and low cost, SIPS buildings have become increasingly popular that they now account for 60% of new buildings in the UK, 70% in Scandinavian countries and 95% in Canada. As a result, in many countries, SIPS buildings are known as Canadian houses.
Thanks to SIPS technology such buildings are very hermetic in design and as a result SIPS buildings are regarded as some of the warmest available. Amazingly, the U-values of a 170mm thickness SIPS wall are greater than a 25,000mm thick brick one! An added bonus is that the sound insulation level is also very high. All this guarantees that your garden room or office will remain warm or cool, depending on installed heating or cooling, whatever the weather!
